Job Title: Certified OB Tech

Location: Portland, OR

Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: Night Shift

Schedule: 3x12 Hours

Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Travel Gross Weekly: $1,900 – $2,000/week (Based on Experience)

Local Rate: $43 – $47/hour (Based on Experience)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Certified OB Technician for a 13-week contract position supporting a Short-Term Acute Care hospital. The ideal candidate will have strong obstetric operating room experience and the required national certification.

Schedule & Requirements

• Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts
• Weekends: Every other weekend required
• Block Scheduling: Required
• On-Call: Not required
• Floating: No floating between units
• Expected Ratio: 1:1
• 48-Hour Shifts: Not approved
• First-Time Travelers: Not accepted
• Certification: NBSTSA Certified OB Tech required

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and surgical teams during obstetric procedures.
• Prepare and maintain the operating room for OB procedures.
• Ensure appropriate surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment are available.
• Assist with sterile procedures and maintain the sterile field.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team during procedures.
• Assist with patient positioning and preparation.
• Follow infection-control and patient-safety protocols.
• Maintain proper handling and documentation of surgical equipment and supplies.
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.

Required Qualifications

• Current NBSTSA certification as an OB Tech .
• Previous experience working as an OB Technician.
• Strong knowledge of obstetric surgical procedures and sterile technique.
• Ability to work independently and effectively within a surgical team.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Commitment to patient safety and quality care.
