Job Duties - Review tooling designs for plastic components to ensure they meet engineering, manufacturing, and customer requirements.
- Design and develop tools, molds, dies, and fixtures for high-quality components.
- Work with engineering and manufacturing teams to improve tooling performance, quality, and cost.
- Use mold-flow analysis to identify potential molding issues and improve production efficiency.
- Work with tooling suppliers during the RFQ process.
- Maintain documentation related to tooling designs, analysis, and process improvements.
- Support continuous improvement of tooling processes and manufacturing capabilities.
Requirements - Strong knowledge of injection molding tooling design and mold-making processes
- Hands-on experience with injection molding tools and tool maintenance
- SolidWorks/CAD
- GD&T
- Mold-flow analysis
- SPC, DOE, and Six Sigma
- Knowledge of 2-shot molding, insert molding, IMD/IML
- Understanding of machining and secondary processes
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
